Suzanne Smoke

Suzanne is a board member for many organizations as an Indigenous Advisor and most recently, she is the Indigenous Cultural coordinator for the city of Markham PAN AM/ PARA PAN AM Games 2015.
She sits on the board for the York Region Arts Council, Town of Georgina Environmental Committee, Town of Georgina Cultural Planning committee, Nweskayaang Youth Council, Biindigen Youth Council and the Native Association of the Development of the Visual and Performing arts( ANDPVA)
Suzanne manages the Biindigen Gallery under the auspices of the Georgina Arts Centre And Gallery. Under Suzanne’s guidance she has now over 30 First Nations artists at showing and exhibiting at the Biindigen Gallery.
Suzanne is an artist, fashion designer, curator and educator. She works with several organizations, is a member of AIM (American Indian Movement) and teaches World religion and Native studies as a guest lecturer for York University, Seneca College, Trent University, and acts as a conduit to build right relationships between the Indigenous Sovereign peoples of Canada and the rest of Canadians.
